After registration on the Voluntary Professional Register, each member needs to produce evidence of Continuing Professional Development. It was agreed during the consultation period, and subsequently agreed at the National AGM, that Forty Five Hours over a Three year period of CPD was appropriate.
Although this might at first appear to be quite a large amount of time, the National Council has produced the following guidance.
Fifteen hours per year, can be achieved by reading the Meat Hygienist when it is published quarterly, and attendance for all sessions of the annual International Seminar in September.
