The Symbol behind the Badge

The original motif adorning the front cover was the creation of Harry Benyon (past member) i.e., issue 1 September 1972.

The present design is attributed to Eric Wood. The definition of this design is thus;

GRIFFIN Symbolising strength, unity and vigilance.

STAFF & SERPENT OF AESCULAPIUS Symbolising health.

THE WHEEL Denoting Association’s link with industry

THE SWORD Symbolising action in defence of member.

THE BOOK Denoting the Association’s work in education.
