It is with deep regret that the AMI Trust have cancelled their face-to-face Seminar 2021, and switched to a live online Seminar due to Covid-19. The AMI Seminar is both an educational and social meeting of “like-minded people”.
The principal concern for the Trustees
was ensuring the safety of both our speakers and delegates whilst moving around
the site and during mealtimes. It would also have been impossible for the
Association, to ensure that guests didn’t mix in the halls of residence.
We feel that this is the only responsible course of action
open to us, especially during the current situation with regards to resourcing,
as we wouldn’t wish to put any addition pressure on our colleagues from both
the respective Agencies and their Service Delivery partners.
Our high-quality speakers will present as follows.
The Seminar will take the format of three live sessions:
10th Sept Friday night 7pm to 9pm (Approx)
11th Sept Saturday Morning 9-30am
prompt start, people to log on from 9am. Concluding at 12am
Break (1 Hour Approx.)
11th Sept Saturday Afternoon 1pm to finish.
Online delegates should register with Stephen Holden at https://forms.office.com/r/9ZH7HAQ5Ca
for each of the live sessions. A “Certificate of Attendance”
will be awarded to those who attend the live sessions on the day. These will be
counted as valuable CPD hours.
The sessions will be recorded and made available to the respective Agencies and Service Delivery partners for training. (With agreement from the relevant speakers)
The Trust believes the same speakers will make their time
available for the live sessions, but the order of speakers will be announced on
the AMI website www.meatinspectors.co.uk
and on the FSA Yammer.
We hope that you understand and appreciate the difficult
situation the Trust finds itself in, as we sincerely wished to be able to meet
in person this year.
